GSI Ajang Pembibitan Atlet Sejak Dini

Sungailiat - Gala Siswa Indonesia (SGI) jenjang SMP tingkat Kabupaten Bangka tahun 2025 hari ini telah dimulai. Acara tersebut dilangsungkan Senin (21/07/25) di Stadion Bina Satria Sungailiat dan dibuka langsung oleh Pj. Sekda Bangka, Thony Marza, A.P..
Thony dalam sambutannya menuturkan bahwa GSI ini adalah ajang pembibitan atlet sepakbola yang telah melalui tahap seleksi dari masing-masing sekolah yang ada di tiap Kecamatan.
"Merupakan tonggak pembinaan atlet berbakat dilingkungan pelajar disinilah pembibitan atlet berbakat untuk disiapkan ke jenjang berkutnya," tuturnya.
Dikatakan Pj. Sekda, ia menaruh harapan besar dan percaya kepada pihak sekolah lewat kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang dilakukan.
"Saya percaya atlet yang ikut ini adalah atlet pilihan yang lahir lewat program program di sekolah," katanya.
Ia mengharapkan para atlet tersebut dapat membawa nama baik Bumi Sepintu Sedulang hingga ke kanca Internasional.
"Nanti diharapkan dapat mengharumkan sepintu sedulang di event yang akan datang. Jadilah atlet yang bertanggungjawab dan raihlah prestasi yang tinggi hingga nasional maupun internasional," tutupnya.
Sementara itu, Ketua Pelaksana, Yudhi Aprizal, menuturkan bahwa GSI tersebut diikuti seluruh Kecamatan kecuali Riau Silip dan akan berlangsung hingga 29 Juli mendatang.
Acara kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pemukulan gong oleh Pj. Sekda Bangka yang didampingi segenap tamu undangan lainnya.
